Carers Scotland is the Scottish national office of Carers UK. It is a Scottish carer-led organisation working for all carers. Carers Scotland campaigns for a better understanding of the issues affecting carers and services needed for carers under three themes:

Coalition of Carers Scotland
The Coalition is a network or alliance of over 50 autonomous local carer-led groups, centres and projects. Members of the Coalition meet quarterly and elect an Executive Committee. The aims of the Coalition are:
to provide networking, information and mutual support for carer-led organisations in Scotland
to bring carers and workers together to explore issues, analyse developments and identify key issues affecting carers in Scotland
to develop a collective response to key issues enabling members of the Coalition to bring their concerns to the attention of interested parties at local, regional and national level
Community Care Providers Scotland
CCPS is the association of voluntary sector organisations providing care and support services in Scottish communities. Its membership comprises the majority of the leading national non-profit and charitable service providers in Scotland.
The CCPS website provides information and links to national policy development related to community care services.
As an Executive Agency, SWIA operates independently and impartially. At the same time, SWIA is directly accountable to Scottish Ministers. Focusing on inspection and at arm's length from policy responsibilities, SWIA inspects all social work services in Scotland, and reports publicly and to Parliament on the quality of these services, locally and nationally.
Care Commission
The Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care (the Care Commission) was established in April 2002 as the new, independent regulator set up under the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 to regulate care services in Scotland. What we do -
